As an alumnus or friend of Georgia Tech, you are part of a long tradition of generous giving that has helped raise the profile and increase the prestige of the Institute. Year after year, Tech alumni post one of the nation's highest alumni giving rates, thereby sustaining the vital work conducted in our research labs and classrooms. The vast majority of private giving to Tech comes from our alumni and friends, and we tremendously appreciate that ongoing loyalty and generosity.
Gifts to Endowment and Current Operations
The majority of gifts from Tech alumni and friends ultimately support either endowment or facilities construction/renovation. With a gift to endowment or facilities, you can help provide scholarships to bright students with limited financial resources or be a part of creating a world-class facility like the Campus Recreation Center.
Facilities & Equipment
At Georgia Tech, facilities are more than just bricks and mortar. They are the state-of-the-art environments in which students, faculty, and staff articulate their gifts. Your support can provide the room for their ideas to grow into the creative applications that will shape the future.
Roll Call (Annual Giving)
A Tech tradition for nearly sixty years, the annual Roll Call provides you the opportunity to support a critical yet often overlooked aspect of the Tech campus: current operations. In addition to supporting basic, ongoing maintenance needs, your gift to Roll Call also provides student scholarships and financial aid, faculty and student recruitment initiatives, and new academic programs.
Alexander-Tharpe Fund (Athletics)
If supporting Tech's hard-working student-athletes is something you're passionate about, then you should consider giving to the Alexander-Tharpe (A-T) Fund. The primary purpose of the A-T Fund is to raise funds to provide scholarships for Tech's student-athletes, who bring tremendous recognition and prestige to Georgia Tech. The A-T Fund is working hard to reach a level of unrestricted annual giving that will cover the cost of the full number of scholarships allowed by the NCAA.
Reunion Giving
Since the early 1980s, Tech alumni celebrating their milestone 50th, 40th, and 25th class reunions have given millions of dollars to their alma mater to support a wide variety of projects, including merit-based and need-based scholarships, campus beautification projects, and new/renovated facilities.
Gifts in Honor or Memory
Honor the memory of a deceased loved one through a memorial gift. Your gift will stand as a permanent reminder of the impact the honoree made during his or her lifetime.
