On behalf of the Campaign Steering Committee, I want to share our excitement and enthusiasm about the appointment of Dr. G. P. “Bud“ Peterson as Georgia Tech’s next president. A mechanical engineer by training, Dr. Peterson is a proven leader and scholar who will usher in a new era for the Institute, leading us on our course to become the defining technological institution of the twenty-first century.
This is a critical time not only for Georgia Tech but for all of us. We are each affected by the financial challenges facing our country and the world, but Campaign Georgia Tech must forge ahead despite the economic upheaval. In an era of uncertain state funding it is even more important than ever that we raise the funds necessary for the Institute to realize its goals.
It is because of you and your enduring generosity that we are among the top public universities in the United States. We hope you will help the Institute continue to advance through your philanthropic support. An investment in Georgia Tech now is a critical investment in the future.
